Privacy policy

This policy describes how Dream Commerce (“we”) handles information when you install or use DC Countdown Timer Bar on Shopify.

Who this app is for

DC Countdown Timer Bar is a merchant app. It shows countdown timers on a storefront. It is not intended to collect information from shoppers checking out on a merchant’s store.

Information we collect

We store only what we need to run the app:

  • Shop identifiers, such as the myshopify.com domain and Shopify shop ID
  • Shopify session and access tokens used to authenticate the app
  • Timer configuration that merchants create, stored as Shopify metaobjects and metafields
  • Monthly view counts per shop and timer, used to enforce plan limits
  • The merchant’s current plan handle, cached from Shopify billing

View counts are anonymous totals. We do not store shopper names, emails, IP addresses, checkout data, or payment details.

If Shopify creates an online staff session, we may temporarily store the associated staff account details that Shopify provides (such as name and email) only to keep that session working.

How we use information

  • Authenticate the merchant and keep the app installed
  • Render and limit countdown timers according to the chosen plan
  • Count storefront timer views against the monthly allowance
  • Respond to Shopify mandatory compliance webhooks

We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Where information is stored

The app is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Shop and session data are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. Timer content is stored in the merchant’s Shopify store as metaobjects and metafields. Shopify processes app charges.

Cloudflare and Shopify may process request logs as part of providing their services.

Sharing

We share information only with:

  • Shopify, to authenticate the app and process billing
  • Cloudflare, to host the app and store merchant app data

We do not share merchant data with other third-party marketing or analytics tools.

Retention and deletion

We keep shop data while the app is installed. When a shop uninstalls the app, or when Shopify sends a shop/redact webhook, we delete that shop’s sessions, view counts, and cached plan data from our database. Timer records stored in Shopify are removed according to Shopify’s uninstall and data-erasure process.

Shopper and customer data

This app does not store personal information about a merchant’s customers. Shopify customer data request and customer redaction webhooks are accepted. Because we do not keep customer records, there is no additional customer data for us to export or erase.

Your choices

Merchants can uninstall the app at any time from the Shopify admin. To ask a question about this policy, open DC Countdown Timer Bar in your Shopify admin or use the app listing contact options.

Children

The app is intended for Shopify merchants and their staff. It is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app or our hosting changes. The current version is always published at this URL.
